The intex raised airbed is one of the most unique bed products in the market today. It offers two benefits of both types of beds: the ‘floating’ comfort and portability of an airbed, and the coziness and permanence of a traditional bed.
You get to experience the convenience of an airbed that’s both portable and comfortable at the same time. Aside from these, the raised profile that this airbed has is quite unique in its own right, allowing you to enjoy transitioning to a sleeping position from a sitting one on an Intex raised airbed.
This airbed is a queen-sized airbed, which means it has standard dimensions of around 60” x 22” x 80” when it is inflated. It is raised about 22 inches from the floor (almost two feet), so that you and your family can directly sit on it. Because the intex airbed is raised, you will feel like sleeping on a conventional bed. You also won’t have the inconvenience of crouching and getting up from it, or kneeling down to lie on it as with the case of a proper airbed propped on the floor. If you want, you can get the airbed from its standing frame and place it on a stable bedspring so that your Intex raised airbed can even be higher. Just make sure that the bedspring is still serviceable and durable, so that it won’t cause any undue damage to the airbed itself.
When you deflate it using the airbed’s built in air pump, it deflates completely, allowing you to fold it and place it somewhere safe. You can also put it into its own duffel bag with a shoulder strap. You can then use the space that was occupied by the airbed for other purposes. The Intex raised airbed is indeed a space saver.
You don’t need another kind of pump, or pumps from other airbed brands to inflate and deflate your Intex raised airbed. The great thing about the Intex raised airbed is that it comes pre-installed with a pump, built on the inside. There is a control panel facing outside where, with the flick of a switch, you can either inflate or deflate both of the airbed’s chambers. Plug the pump to a socket, switch to inflate, and the Intex raised airbed will fully inflate in less than 5 minutes.
The Intex raised airbed is constructed with a double layer construction, with the lower chamber functioning like a box spring (just like a conventional bed) for support. The upper chamber is the “mattress” of the airbed.
